Why 1335

1335 is not a year. It is EN 1335, the European standard for office work chairs. Our task chairs are certified to this standard.

The standard

EN 1335 sets the requirements for office work chairs. In Italy it is published as UNI EN 1335. It does not apply to other office seating, which is covered by different European standards.

Part 1: dimensions

UNI EN 1335-1:2020 specifies the dimensions of the chair and the methods for measuring them. It distinguishes four chair types, Ax, A, B and C, according to their dimensions and range of adjustment.

Part 2: safety

UNI EN 1335-2:2018 specifies the safety, strength and durability requirements. They are based on use for 8 hours a day by persons weighing up to 110 kg.
